Co-curricular activities are the foundation of a child’s holistic and harmonious development. These activities help students to develop problem-solving, reasoning, critical thinking, creative thinking, communication, and collaborative abilities. We provide a diverse range of experiences for our students through several activities, helping them to explore their talents and develop an appreciation for many forms of art through the introduction of various activities. The plethora of opportunities are provided to the students to discuss ideas and broaden their intellectual viewpoints.
“Dance is an art, paint your dream and follow it.”- Steven Thompson
Dance engages the artistic processes of creating, performing and critical analysis. This requires a vast number of skills such as the ability to read symbols, implement critical thinking, nonverbal reasoning, and exchange ideas, work in collaboration with others, and understand different cultures and societies. Dance education also helps the students to explore movements of the body and forms of expression. We train the young learners in:
“Music is a higher revelation than all wisdom and philosophy.”- Ludwig van Beethoven
Music is the language of the soul and a way to express emotion. In Salwan, we believe music gives power to students to express themselves freely. Our music classes focus on developing the sense of rhythm, performing, composing, and appreciating music. Our spacious music room is well equipped with a wide variety of instruments and encourages our budding musicians to keep the music alive. We give ample opportunity to our students to learn musical instruments like drum set, guitar, keyboard, tabla, etc. and groom them to participate in various internationally acclaimed singing competitions. The students are given training for:
