AN INSIGHTFUL VISIT TO IMA, DEHRADUN

November 8, 2023Events Onlyby Salwan Public School

13 students participated in an educational visit to the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun from 17th to 19th September 2023 along with 46 participants from other Salwan Schools.

Since the IMA, established in 1932, stands as a beacon of military excellence and discipline, our visit encompassed a tour of the academy’s historic library, main hall, and the army stables. Notably, the academy’s profound commitment to selfless service, embodied in its motto “Valour and Wisdom”, resonated deeply with our group. Observing the training, parade drills, and understanding the significance of the Passing Out Parade (POP) was indeed enlightening.

This trip not only enhanced the educational perspectives but also deepened students’ respect for the nation’s defence forces. A sense of patriotism and admiration was unanimously felt among students and faculty.
