As India’s G20 presidency has started, Salwan Public School Ghaziabad conducted a special assembly for the students of the classes V to VIII on Wednesday, 15 February 2023 to educate and sensitise children about the G20 and its significance under India’s presidency.
During the assembly, the achievements and activities undertaken by G20 under India’s presidency were shared by the students through a PowerPoint presentation. Pertaining to the evolution of G20, India’s priorities, and other countries’ views on India, students emphatically shared their viewpoints.
The emphatic presentation was followed by a quiz contest based on history and relevance of G20 summits.
Speaking
on the occasion the Principal, Sunita Madan said, ”For India, the G20 Presidency also marks the beginning of ‘Amritkaal.’ And we aim towards a futuristic, prosperous, inclusive and developed society, distinguished by a human-centric approach at its core.”
Students learnt and understood that India’s G20 priority will be to continue pressing for reformed multilateralism that creates more accountable, inclusive just, equitable and representative multipolar international system that is fit for addressing the challenges in the 21st century.
