SALWAN PUBLIC SCHOOL GHAZIABAD CONDUCTS ANNUAL SPORTS DAY WITH ZEAL AND FANFARE

‘’लक्ष्य –Annual Sports Day-celebrating healthy mind in a healthy body’’ was organised on Sunday 20th November, 2022 in which dignitaries Smt. Ranjita Dhama, Chairman Nagar Palika Loni, Shri Shiv Dutt Salwan, Chairman Emeritus Salwan Education Trust, Prof.Neeraj Chandra, Chairman(SPS TDSC), Mr. Ashish Pandey ADIOS Uttar Pradesh, esteemed trustees and parents graced the occasion.

 

Around 1000 students from the classes Nur-XII participated in sporting drills and all track and field events.  The gala event was inaugurated by Smt Ranjita Dhama (Chairman, Nagar Palika, Loni Constituency). The day was the culmination of school’s efforts in honing the talents and bringing the excellence in the field of sports and culture.

The 400 metres of lush green track of the school playground buzzed with a high voltage super splendor when the spirited performance of athletes and performers enthralled the spectators. The marching squads stole the show and it like a spectacular extravaganza of Olympic Games. 2000 blue, orange and white balloons representing glory rose merrily towards the azure skies.

In her address, Mrs. Ranjita Dhama inspired the athletes to keep pursuing their passion and declared the Meet Open. She applauded the efforts of the school in creating ample opportunities for the students to win laurels and contribute significantly in nation building.

Principal Mrs. Sunita Madan presented the annual report and  radiated the energy in the young athletes and urged them to turn every obstacle into an opportunity. Prof. Neeraj Chandra Chairman of the school administered the oath to the athletes.

ADIOS Sh. Ashish Kumar Pandey was so impressed with state of art school infrastructure and international-level play courts. He further requested school management to conduct state and national-level events in the school.

The special attraction of the event was the multi-cuisine food stalls set up by the parents in the school premises with lip-smacking food, including Indian Cuisine, Italian Pizza and Pasta and an exquisite variety of ice creams.

 

The kaleidoscopic program began with Invocation Dance with chanting of Shlokas followed by fitness presentations in Yoga, Gymnastics, Cricket and Dumbbell.

Chairman Emeritus felicitated the parents for their sustained hard work and cooperation in ensuring their children’s success. He also appreciated the efforts put in by the school principal and her team for putting up a fabulous show.

 

The parents seemed overwhelmed seeing their children participating with zeal and passion. The eager participation by the students in the athletic events reflected the true spirit of the importance of sports in everyone’s life.

 

The kaleidoscopic program culminated with a symphonic and mellifluous performance portraying togetherness and dazzling dance form, ’Zumba’ followed by Medal Ceremony.
