The three day sporting event, CBSE CLUSTER XIX ATHLETIC MEET(Girls) from 27th to 29th December 2022. Around 2000 athletes from Baghpat, Shamli, Amroha, Hapur, Meerut, Bulandshahar, Muzzaffar Nagar, Ghaziabad, Gautam Budh Nagar, Greater Noida, Noida, Haldwani, Nainital, Rudrapur and Ramnagar participated in all track and field events. 32 finals were conducted in this mega sporting carnival of three days including 100 M, 4×400 M RELAY, LONG JUMP, HIGH JUMP , TRIPLE JUMP, JAVELIN THROW, DISCUS & SHOT PUT under different categories U-14, U-17 & U-19. The lodging & boarding facility was provided to the participants from far off regions.
The Principal welcomed the dignitaries present and encouraged the athletes to succeed at National & International Level.
Dignitaries, Himanshu Verma SDM Loni, Shiv Dutt Salwan, Chairman Emeritus, Sushil Dutt Salwan, Chairman Salwan Education Trust, Prof. Neeraj Chandra, Chairman SPS TDSC, Dr. Sanjay Chauhan, CBSE Observer for the event and Directors, Principals, and heads of different schools graced the momentous occasion.
The Meet was inaugurated by Chief Guest Shri Nand Kishor Gurjar (MLA,Loni Constituency) by releasing balloons in the air. 3000 blue, orange and white balloons representing glory rose merrily towards the azure skies. The Chief Guest reiterated the role of the school in taking the sports to momentous heights by hosting and conducting gala sporting events.
The marching Salwanians entered the ground together, waving their flags and cheering to the audience. The oath was administered to all the participating athletes. The kaleidoscopic programme began with soulful rendition of Shlokas followed by portrayal of true colours of Indian Culture through Invocation Dance. The programme featured scintillating and breathtaking yoga performance, Zumba, Chair Dance and spectacular show of cricket strokeplay.
The Closing Ceremony was graced by Smt Ranjita Dhama, Chairperson(Nagar Palika , Loni, Ghaziabad) and Shri Manoj Dhama, Former Chairman (Nagar Palika , Loni, Ghaziabad). The programme was summed up by Valedictory and Vote of Thanks by Shri Manoj Dhama.
The overall Team Title U-19 was lifted by Dev Memorial Public School, Garhmukhteshwar, Ghaziabad. Team Championship U-17 was clinched by Mother India Public School, Bazpur, Uttarakhand whereas Team Championship U-14 was swept by Vidyagyan Public School,Bulandshahar.
The best athlete awards U-19, U-17 and U-14 were bestowed upon Kanishka Manchanda,Chhauni Children Academy, Shagun Singh, Holy Child School & Prabhjot Kaur, Namdev Public School.
The Best Overall performer Award was conferred upon Shagun Singh, Holy Child School.
The grandeur of this gala event featured an amazing explosion of colour and music to exhibit the celebration of sportsmanship and achievements in sports.
