Sixteen students from the School embarked on an enriching educational journey to attend the 9th India International Science Festival (IISF) 2023, held at the Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) Campus in Faridabad, Haryana, from January 17th to 20th, 2024. This year’s theme, ‘Science and Technology Public Outreach in Amrit Kaal,’ aimed to bridge the gap between scientific communities and the public, fostering a wider understanding and appreciation of scientific advancements. The festival, hosted at the Campus of Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) and RCB, under the auspices of the Department of Biotechnology, provided a vibrant platform for students, educators, scientists, industry professionals, and enthusiasts to engage in a multitude of activities including seminars, exhibitions, competitions and workshops. With 17 diverse themes showcasing the latest scientific achievements, the festival offered the students a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in knowledge-sharing sessions, technology shows, and interactive discussions with national and international experts. The IISF, initiated by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, continues to inspire creativity in science, technology, and innovation towards building a prosperous India.
